Week 1: Changing Your Story

Research shows that 86-90% of people break free from all types of bad habits and life controlling issues/addictions by choice! But it’s a choice you have to search to find. Imagine searching for a house in thick fog. The house is there, but because of the fog, you can’t find it.

Understanding Cognitive Dissonance plays a significant role in “Changing Your Story.” Cognitive means “the way you think.” Dissonance means “disagreement.” Cognitive Dissonance is when there is a disagreement in your thinking.

In Romans 7:15 Paul says, “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.” Sound familiar?

What part of your story do you want to change? What are your beliefs about the things you want to change? Are these beliefs working for you or against you? Based on the reality you are living, is what you believe actually true? What is it that you are truly seeking?

These are just a few of the topics we dive into during WEEK 1, “CHANGING YOUR STORY”

Week 2: Understanding Your Backstory

More often than we’d like to believe, the addictions, the strongholds, the bad habits—every problem we have, are our insides screaming, “Deal with me.” We have to deal to heal. The problem is, instead of dealing, we end up dwelling.

Digging deep is not about justifying your behavior, replaying mistakes, blaming others, or making excuses. It is to help you understand yourself, your relationships, your habits, and patterns.

Acknowledging where you’ve been helps you understand where you are. It empowers you to let go of the "you" life molded and become the YOU God created.

In Week 2, “UNDERSTANDING YOUR BACKSTORY, we identify the root causes of our issues. We uncover our past, so we can Discover our Future.

Week 3: Rewiring Your Brain

Every thought produces a feeling. Thoughts and feelings produce actions. It’s important to remember that thoughts don’t just appear. Some are developed. Others are a direct result of our actions. And then there are “thought lies.” Things we’ve believed for so long, that they’ve become our truth.

“Changing Your Story,” requires that you become aware of what you are thinking about, and identify where your thoughts are coming from.

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 tells us that there are arguments and pretension’s—thoughts that are against God (and His plans for us) that have set themselves up in our mind. It goes on to explain that we have divine power to demolish these strongholds.

This is what Week 3, REWIRING YOUR BRAIN, is all about!

Week 4: Speak Life

“Life and death are in the power of the tongue.” As soon as we hear this scripture our mind immediately “remembers” words that stung. And those that caused us to soar. Words that plastered themselves on our heart for the better—and for the worse.

This is normal, but because our mind automatically goes to the extremes, we miss what is in the middle.

Ephesians 5:4 tells us that there should be “no foolish talk, coarse joking, or jesting come out of our mouths.” Have you ever thought about what that means? Even the seemingly innocent, casual conversations, the “funny” things you say, set you on a path.

During Week 4, SPEAK LIFE, you will evaluate your everyday conversations. Are you speaking Life or Death over your Dreams? What about your Health? Your Relationships? What are you speaking in to your Destiny?

Learn how to SPEAK LIFE!

Week 5: The Process of Forgiveness

We say the words “I forgive you” and think it’s a done deal. But forgiveness is a process. And as we progress, our need to forgive on a deeper level increases.

But how do we forgive the unforgiveable? How can we forgive without ever hearing “I’m sorry?” How can we move on when the pain is so real? And what about forgiving ourselves?

Week 5, THE PROCESS OF FORGIVENESS, is full of exercises, questions, prayers, and strategies, that will help set you free!

Week 6: Spiritual Warfare

Will your struggles strangle you? Or will you let them transform you?

John 10:10 assures us that Jesus came to give us life and life abundantly. It also warns us that the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy. When you are unaware of the enemy’s schemes and strategies—you are more susceptible to his ploys.

God has a purpose and a plan for your life. But you have to believe it. And you have to fight for it.

Understanding the role SPIRITUAL WARFARE plays in “Changing Your Story,” will CHANGE YOUR STORY.

Week 7: Becoming Your Own Hero

There are three main characters in every good movie. The Hero, the Villain, and the Victim. Which role are you playing?

In Week 7, BECOMING YOUR OWN HERO, you will learn a 4 step formula based on basic acting techniques and story structure that will enable you to leave the role of victim and/or villain behind and become the hero of your own story.

Week 8: Purpose--The Key to Breakthrough

Michelangelo is quoted to have said, “The sculpture is already complete within the marble block. I just have to chisel away the superfluous material.”

There are a million great books on “Finding your purpose.” But the truth is your purpose is inside you.

Underneath all the mess is a Masterpiece. And it is your job to Discover it.

PURPOSE IS THE KEY TO YOUR BREAKTHROUGH.

What Clients Say

“The Change Your Story Workshop goes deep, helping each person to face the known and unknown, in a way that is loving and supported. This workshop allowed me to think past what I knew to apply the tools that’ll serve my healing journey. I recommend this workshop to EVERYONE because becoming the best version of yourself doesn’t happen when we get the right job, the perfect parent, etc, it happens when we shift our stories to align with God's story about us.” –S
